iPad with Face ID hinted at in iOS 12

Apple has released the  iOS 12   developer preview, which appears to have confirmed that Face ID is coming to the iPad, The Verge reported .

Citing a tweet from developer Guilherme Rambo, the report stated that the functionality discovered in iOS 12 hints at the feature that has been rumoured to be coming several times – the iPad Pro receiving Face ID support.

The tweet shows that iOS 12 has hidden menus for setting up Face ID, and a section in the Settings app.

Based on Rambo’s discovery, and credible rumours that were previously reported, an iPad with Face ID sensors is expected to be be launched this year.

The Face ID setup UI is finally working on iPad. Clearly not done yet as can be seen by the descriptions mentioning "iPhone". But it's a start :) pic.twitter.com/PVQgfbne15
